WHAT WE’VE DONE

In order to liven up the concept, we decided to add an element of chaos to it. In the TV area, we tore down some of the plaster at the bottom in order to expose the blocks, and then painted it all olive. One side of the dining table rests on regular blocks, while the hallway we adorned with a grand stroke of the same olive color. These accents gave the project its own unique character and they are sure to make it memorable. Yet, despite the outward differences, this apartment has been well thought out it terms of functionality and usability. It has a large closet at the entrance and a spacious kitchen area, whose cabinets can be used to store garments and clothing as well. The apartment boasts a roomy sofa area, a dining table incorporated into the kitchen suite, and a bathroom equipped with everything one could need for comfortable living, including a water heater. Additionally, given the fact that the apartment is intended for rent, we made sure to opt for durable and vandal-proof materials and solutions—all to ensure the apartment will remain in good condition for a long time. And, of course, we feel compelled to re-emphasize the big stroke (chirk!) of olive paint on the wall of the hallway—it looks accidental, as if made by an absent-minded artist, and it truly became one of the most prominent accents project.
