For rental apartments, there are always several equally important tasks: to consider the future implementation budget while creating a truly original and unusual interior that makes the apartment stand out noticeably among other offers.

A client from Moscow approached us with a request to design an apartment for long-term rent in Moscow. First, we developed an adaptive and convenient layout where the second bedroom can be used as a children's room or an office.
Then we added several expressive design accents — light fixtures, backlighting, tiles, decorative wall finishes, and furniture. The kitchen-living room looks strict and restrained thanks to the architectural linearity of forms and ceiling segmentation, while softness is added by light fixtures with rounded shapes. Decorative plaster, matching the finish on some walls, was used as the kitchen backsplash.
In the other rooms, a balance between strictness and softness of forms is maintained: for example, in the bedroom — the headboard and hanging bedside lamps. In the hallway, we created an art canvas with the apartment layout applied using textured paste in a deliberately rough style. This canvas was painted by the client’s daughter, who is an artist.
After the renovation was completed, the apartment was almost immediately rented out long-term by a Moscow-based blogger. We decided to name this project after the art canvas in the hallway.
