WHAT WE’VE DONE

We are fans of wabi-sabi, a philosophy that teaches us to preserve old things and to find beauty in them. This looks as if it was not a mere coincidence but we had had that idea in store for a long time, where we employed the old classical method of using boiserie frames but covering them with gypsum board, thus creating the modern “soaring wall” effect. Imagine that we tore off a piece of the wall and there was stucco work under it. And how intricately the light fitted in here, which we gave a second life. It was as if meeting these customers and their light fixtures was exactly what our idea had waited for. It all came together.

After that, there was another interesting situation, with the living room already. The TV wall borders with the bedroom, and one can notice the effect as if the bedroom walls, their color, have permeated through and began to penetrate the living-room area through the wood butts. Working with a project often involves working with illusions. In some cases, they would prefer to align the rooms, in some other cases to make the ceilings higher, and in other cases, there is an interesting play with colors and materials like this.
